According to Phivolcs, the quake, which registered a magnitude 4.2 on the Richter Scale, was triggered by movement in the southern segment of the Panay fault at three kilometers.
Phivolcs said the quake is not expected to cause any damage or be followed by strong aftershocks.
Last Monday, an Intensity 2 tremor rocked the lakeshore town of Anini-y, Antique at 3:46 a.m.
