BACOLOD CITY Four people, including a pregnant woman and two children, were shot dead and two 13-year-old girls were wounded by suspected members of a notorious robbery gang here Tuesday night.
Police identified the fatalities as Jennylyn Boliboli, 26, who was six months pregnant, Shirley Mayagma, 32, and the latters children Sheryl, 5, and Carlo, 1.
Wounded were Jeanne Boliboli and Bernie Mayagma. The former is still in critical condition due to a bullet wound in the chest, while the latter, shot in the left arm and right wrist, has been declared out of danger.
Jennylyns two other children, Rachel, 13, and Ariel, 4, managed to escape the carnage and are now under the custody of Mayor Luzviminda Valdez.
The Bolibolis and Mayagmas live in the same house.
Police believe that the gang resented the move of the husbands of Jennylyn and Shirley in providing information to the police that led to the arrest of three of its members. Antonieta Lopez
