Cordillera’s four most wanted, college dean nabbed

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet — The four top most wanted persons in the Cordillera region were nabbed by police authorities yesterday morning.

Chief Superintendent Victor Luga, PNP director for Cordillera Administrative Region, (CAR), said that Marcial Sudicalan Lami-ing, who was wanted for incest rape, was cornered by members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-CAR and the Regional Intelligence Office-14 at his residence in Bermuda Hills Subdivision in Irisan, Baguio City.

On the same day, Roman Tangday Paclay, alias Binga; Manuel Pullis and Falgui Balansi, alias Falgui Balangui; all residents of Lacnog, Tabuk, Kalinga, were captured by joint operatives of the Kalinga Police Provincial office (PPO) Intelligence 160th Police Mobile Group (PMG).

The trio had been wanted by the law for cattle theft.

Meanwhile, a college dean was apprehended for illegal possession of a gun and ammunition in Bangued, Abra.

Retired Superintendent Ruben Paderes, 58, a resident of Poblacion, Penarrubia, Abra and the dean of the Abra Valley Colleges in Bangued was arrested by elements of the regional PMG headed by Superintendent David Lacdan at a checkpoint along the Bucay Road.

Paderes was arrested for carrying a caliber .45 Remington pistol without permit. Also confiscated from him were two magazines with 16 live ammunition, an expired license, one black holster and one black leather cloth bag for the firearm.

Paderes was turned over to the Abra police office for further investigation and proper disposition.
