Annoyed at F4 songs, man pricks boy with stick

SURIGAO CITY — The songs of Taiwanese boy band F4 may be music to its fans’ ears, but to this 79-year-old widower, they are some incomprehensible crap.

Hearing eight-year-old Peter Glenn Tugay Guma singing the foreign group’s songs, an annoyed Ambrosio Lerog Petallo, a resident of Cagdianao, Surigao del Norte, pricked the Grade 3 pupil with a barbecue stick on the neck Saturday morning.

Police said the boy sustained injuries, prompting his parents to report the incident to authorities.

The old man denied the accusation, saying the boy was just naughty. — Ben Serrano
