SURIGAO CITY A heated argument between a 39-year-old farmer and copra buyer and his wife turned bloody when she and their son clubbed him to death with a meter-long piece of wood in Pilar, Surigao del Norte Thursday night.
The suspects, Eleora Robion Salvaloza, 36, and her son, Eleocel, 18, are now detained at the Pilar town jail.
Police said Eleora and her husband, Celso Escatron Salvaloza, had a verbal tussle over family problems that ended in a scuffle.
Eleora shouted for help and her son came to her rescue, wielding a piece of wood with which he and his mother alternately struck Celso on the head, killing him on the spot. Ben Serrano
