12 jueteng collectors nabbed in Pangasinan

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan Twelve more jueteng bet collectors were nabbed the other day by police authorities in two towns and one city in the province as part of the local governments continuous campaign against illegal gambling.
Separate reports reaching the Pangasinan Philippine National Police (PNP) provincial office said yesterday the suspects were arrested while they were in the act of collecting bets in Malasiqui and Mangaldan towns and in San Carlos City.
Arrested in Barangays Cruz and Docong in San Carlos City were Bernard Tayangca, Ronald de Guzman, Joseph Peralta, Roberto Macaraeg and Ronald Mamaril. A certain Roberto Canilang was also collared at the citys new public market.
Meanwhile, Renato Palaganas, Federico Sison, Jake de Vera, and Jerry Manson were arrested by the police in Barangay Taloy, Malasiqui while Alberto Paragas Jr. and Alex Arabos were apprehended by the Mangaldan police.
Cash bets amounting to P2,364.25, jueteng papelitos and ballpens were confiscated from the suspects. Cesar Ramirez
