South Korean found dead in apartment; cops eye suicide

-
SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan — A South Korean national was found dead at the backyard of his rented house in Barangay Buliran in this town the other day.

The foreigner was identified as Sang Lee, 33, single, a seaman and was renting a house owned by a certain Ricardo Garcia.

Initial police investigation showed that on Thursday afternoon, they heard a gunshot at the said house where Lee was subsequently found dead.

A former occupant of the house, a certain Eduardo Sinaguinan said that the foreigner had been staying in the house for about five days before the incident.

Probers found a .45 caliber pistol at the scene and a spent shell near the victim’s body. Garcia said Lee owns the gun.

Initial findings showed that Lee sustained a gunshot wound at the back of his head that pierced through his forehead.

His remains were brought to the Funeraria San Miguel, while a notification would be sent to the South Korean Embassy for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, several persons, including Garcia was brought to the crime laboratory for paraffin tests. — James Mananghaya and Ric Sapnu
