CAMP ADDURU, Tuguegarao City Police confirmed yesterday that the 1.75 grams of cocaine found off Basco, Batanes last month were found to be of high-grade quality.
Chief Superintendent Romulo Sales, Cagayan Valley police director, said this was the result of tests on the illegal drug valued at P9 million by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at Camp Crame.
The cocaine, now under PDEA custody, was reportedly packed in brick and powder form and placed in a plastic container when the policemen and Coast Guard personnel fished it out off the coast of Basco. Charlie Lagasca
