Baguio karaoke bar blast: Cashier hurt

-
BAGUIO CITY — The cashier of a karaoke bar here suffered several injuries when an explosive of still unknown type went off inside the bar’s comfort room early yesterday morning.

Police said Mary Ann Manwit, cashier of New Town karaoke bar along Magsaysay Avenue, had injuries on the ears and both legs. She was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital.

PO1 Peewee Dagul, desk officer of police precinct 2, said they are still determining the type of explosive.

Senior Superintendent Francisco Manalo, city police chief, brushed aside speculations that the blast was the handiwork of terrorists. Artemio Dumlao
