114 schools lose degree programs

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has ordered the phaseout of several degree programs in 114 public and private colleges and universities whose graduates have performed poorly in licensure examinations.
"In previous years, the CHED phased out programs first with zero percent passing, then three percent, and now we have raised it to five percent," said CHED chairwoman Ester Garcia. Rainier Allan Ronda
