A 72-year-old cousin of anti-crime advocate Dante Jimenez was killed by robbers who divested him of P150,000 cash inside his house in Antipolo City early Monday morning.
Jimenez, head of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), told The STAR his cousin, Anacleto Oredina Jr., was hacked in the head and stabbed in the neck by at least three persons, allegedly including the victims househelp.
Chief Inspector Delia Quidote, Antipolo City police chief, said the robbers apparently learned that Oredina had just withdrawn P150,000 from the bank.
Police are now hunting down the househelp, a certain Gloria Liad, and her cohorts.
Oredinas lifeless body was found by his laundrywoman before noon Monday. Ann Corvera
