Filariasis, dengue cases up in Reg. 12

COTABATO CITY Epidemiologists have tightened their watch on war-torn areas in Region 12 (Central Mindanao) following an increase in filariasis and dengue cases.
The Mindanao Cross, a Catholic weekly newspaper here, reported yesterday that there have been more than a hundred cases of dengue in the last three weeks in Mlang, North Cotabato; Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat and in the cities of Kidapawan and Koronadal.
More than a hundred people have also been afflicted with dengue in the neighboring towns of Pigkawayan, Libungan, Midsayap and Alamada in the first district of North Cotabato since late March. John Unson
