Japanese interpreter, trader seized

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — A Japanese interpreter and a Manila-based trader were reportedly seized while surveying in a gold mining site here last Saturday, authorities said.

A sketchy police report identified the two as interpreter Juanita Ohiyoma and trader Joseph Rivale. Their companion, an unidentified Japanese trader, was said to have gone back to Davao City after paying an undetermined amount of money. — Ben Serrano
