CABUGAO, Ilocos Sur Four family members, who had been in and out of jail on bail due to illegal drug charges, were slain in an ambush in a remote barangay here last Thursday.
The victims Marilou Camacho, her father Modesto Fieldad, mother Estefanie and cousin Constante were en route to Barangay Pug-os aboard a Hyundai van when another van blocked their path and the two men inside it sprayed them with M-16 Armalite bullets, according to Senior Superintendent Mario Subagan, Ilocos Sur police director.
Subagan said they will still investigate the killing despite the victims alleged illegal activities.
He said possible angles could be business rivalry or personal grudge.
