Composer hunted for lover’s slay

CAINTA, Rizal — Police are now tracking down a composer for allegedly choking to death his 24-year-old live-in partner with a leather belt last Monday.

This, after Cainta Municipal Trial Court Judge Teresito Andoy issued an arrest warrant for Ezra Dave Maling, accused of killing Rebeny Grageda inside their house at the Vista Verde Country Homes here.

No bail was recommended for Maling, who went into hiding after the incident.

Police said Maling reportedly got wind of Grageda’s plan to reconcile with her estranged husband, Gathel Vergara, for the sake of their five-year-old daughter, Alexandra Pauline. — Non Alquitran
