2 men yield P6-M shabu

IMUS, Cavite At least three kilos of shabu worth about P6 million were confiscated from two suspected members of a drug syndicate operating in Laguna and Cavite who were arrested in Carmona, Cavite Tuesday night.
Chief Superintendent Enrique Galang Jr., Calabarzon police director, said 23 sachets of shabu were found at the backseat of the unlicensed red Mitsubishi Lancer which suspects Eric Munto, 27, and Daya Omadan, 22, were riding in.
Galang said the drug syndicate, to which the two allegedly worked for, operates in the towns of Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Dasmariñas, Silang and Sta. Rosa.
Senior Superintendent Robert Rosales, Cavite police director, said policemen manning a checkpoint in Barangay Mabuhay, Carmona town spotted the suspects car at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
But before the law enforcers could flag them down, the suspects sped away. Police gave chase and eventually cornered them. Ed Amoroso
