2 boys die in Cebu fire

CEBU CITY As the revelry from the Sinulog festival wound down Sunday night, a fire struck a shanty in Barangay Basak here, killing two boys aged five and 10 months.
Rosario Salomoy, 38, left her sons Michael, 10 months old, and Rexler, 5, asleep to look for somebody who owed her P45 for a manicure service she rendered the previous night.
The next thing she knew, neighbors came running to tell her that her shanty was ablaze with her children trapped inside. She arrived too late.
Salomoy alleged that a female neighbor might have intentionally burned her shanty, claiming that she earlier threatened to do that. Freeman News Service
