SPDA lawyer shot by 3 men

-
DAVAO CITY — Unidentified men shot and wounded a lawyer of the Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) here yesterday morning, police said.

Lawyer Abundio Marapao, 43, was reportedly alighting from his Mitsubishi Pajero in front of the SPDA office along Davao Medical School Drive when three men, aboard two motorcycles, appeared and shot him.

Marapao sustained four gunshot wounds — two in the chest and two in the legs, police said.

Police still had no clues on the shooting.

President Arroyo abolished the SPDA last month, and created a task force to oversee its operations until mid-2003. Edith Regalado
