13th PTM opens

Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon cited the gung-ho spirit and achievements of the Philippine Tour Operators Association (Philtoa) in promoting Philippine travel locally and internationally, saying these will go a long way in providing jobs for Filipinos through tourism.

As the country gears up for Visit Philippines 2003, Gordon lauded the record-breakers the Philtoa has accomplished for the 13th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) which, for the first time, has 375 exhibitor booths, and hosts 134 foreign travel buyers from the United States, India, Thailand, Canada and Singapore.

The three-day 13th PTM opens today at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
