The victim, Joel Asejo, was celebrating a friend’s birthday at the Mayon Spring Resort when he was gunned down.
The seven soldiers were identified as 1Lt. Romeo Siyang, M/Sgts. Wilfredo de Guzman and Mario Velasco, T/Sgt. Vicente Ganaban Jr., and Sergeants Porthos Reyes, Jaime Onquit and Alex Estacio, all belonging to the 2nd Infantry Division based in Tanay, Rizal.
