Korean robbed of P1.5-M

DAVAO CITY — A Korean national lost at least P1.5 million in cash and jewelry in a daring robbery over the weekend in a posh subdivision here in the city.

Police reports bared the robbers struck in the house of Korean national Ke Unsong Young, 54, a resident of Molave St. in Juna Subdivision.

It was learned that two unidentified men knocked at around 6 p.m. Saturday on the main gate of Young’s residence when only Ana Sales, the 14-year old housemaid, who was around.

The two intruders, who both covered their heads with ski-masks, reportedly forced their way in when Sales opened the gate to see who was knocking.

The suspects reportedly dragged Sales inside the house and then brought her to the bathroom in the second floor where she was hogtied.

The suspects then started ransacking the house and fled bringing with them the contents of a steel vault that included jewelry worth P400,000, P700,000 in cash, $800, and at least 2,000 Korean won.

The robbers also carted away a separate box that contained diamond-encrusted earrings and rings also worth over P400,000.
