Barangay fete turns bloody

DEL GALLEGO, Camarines Sur A thanksgiving celebration for newly elected barangay heads here last Sunday turned bloody after supporters of losing bets ganged up on the "honorees" and their followers, a belated police report said.
The affair turned sour when Domingo Villareal, 28, suddenly stabbed Benjamin Millare, 29, in the chest and thigh. Minutes later, someone turned off the lights and four gunshots rang out.
When power was restored, Virgilio Millare, 50, head of barangay tanods, lay dead on the ground with multiple stab wounds.
Another man was stabbed, and a fourth victim was shot. Celso Amo
