Kidnap gang leader, 5 cohorts fall

The Philippine National Police scored another win in its anti-kidnapping campaign with Thursdays arrest of the suspected leader and five members of another kidnap-for-ransom gang.
Nabbed in separate operations in Cavite were alleged gang leader Dennis Tresvalles, 27; Conrado Jocson, 39; Noel Tresvalles, 24; Gonzalo Quario, 21; Dominador Layacan, 21; and Allan Garcia, 27.
The Police Anti-Crime Emergency Response (PACER) tagged the "Tresvalles gang" to the Aug. 25 abduction of 24-year-old computer student Jan Arad Fernandez who was rescued two days later after his father sought police assistance.
The group was also implicated in a number of high-profile robberies in Cavite, Laguna and Metro Manila. Jaime Laude
