Man who robbed GMA’s manicurist falls

- Non Alquitran -
It pays to be President Arroyo’s manicurist.

In less than a month, one of two men who robbed Anita Valderama, the President personal manicurist, was arrested, and the President personally congratulated the Antipolo City police for doing so yesterday.

The suspect, Tomas Fuller, was nabbed in his house in Barangay Inarawan, Antipolo last Tuesday.

Valderama, 43, positively identified Fuller as one of two men who accosted her on her way home to Barangay San Luis last July 11, and at knifepoint, took her shoulder bag containing her cellphone, jewelry and cash.

Upon learning that the victim works for the President, elements of Community Precinct 3 of the Antipolo police took extra time in solving the case. With help from an informer of the Central Police District, their efforts paid off with Fuller’s arrest.

Precinct 3 policemen got a surprise yesterday when Mrs. Arroyo dropped by at about 1 p.m. yesterday to personally congratulate them and the city police chief, Superintendent Jose Dayco, for a job well done in Valderama’s case.

Inspector Noel Ragotero, Precinct 3 head, said Fuller was wanted for robberies not only in Antipolo but also in Cainta town.
