Lotto fans are expected to troop today to various lotto outlets all over the country to beat 15 million to one odds to hit the 6/49 lotto jackpot price which may soar to the P 100 million mark officials of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) officials said yesterday.
Condrado Zabella, PCSO assistant general manager for on-line lotto, said the 6/49 lotto game which is drawn every Thursday and Sunday had already reached P 92 million when nobody hit the jackpot in last Thursdays draw.
"If nobody wins on Sundays draw then the jackpot price may break the P100 million mark the biggest jackpot for the year" he said.
The PCSO said since the online lottery game was launched in 1995 more than 460 players have became instant millionaires winning prices ranging from P3 to P160 million.
Statistics shows that winners usually pick dates of their birth and other significant events in their lives.
As a matter of policy the PCSO has kept the names of the winners confidentials. Perseus Echeminada
