Radioman’s ‘assassin’ falls

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have arrested the alleged assassin of a local broadcaster who was shot dead on May 30 last year while on his way to his radio program.

The suspect, a certain Warid Ada, was nabbed in Jolo, Sulu last Wednesday. He was tagged as the man who gunned down Candelario Cayona of Radyo Ukay of the University of Mindanao Broadcasting Network.

Chief Superintendent Simeon Dizon, Region 9 police director, has directed his men to speedily solve the recent killing of Pagadian City radioman Carlos Damalerio. — Roel Pareño
