STA. ROSA, Laguna Five ski mask-wearing men barged into the house of a Japanese-Filipino couple at a posh village here Monday night, killing two persons before fleeing with cash and valuables and the couples six-year-old son.
The fate of Takeshi Adachi, a kindergaten pupil, remained uncertain as his mother, Ma. Teresa Bartolay Adachi, had not received any ransom demand as of press time, said Senior Superintendent Leon Nilo de la Cruz, Laguna police director.
De la Cruz identified the victims as Mrs. Adachis elder sister Nancy Bartolay Vargas, 37, and their stay-in family driver Nelson Aglahi, 40. They were found stabbed dead in a bathtub, their hands tied with plastic straw.
The robbers barged into the Adachi residence at about 10:30 p.m. and gagged, tied up and herded everyone to a room. They brought Vargas and Aglahi to the toilet and stabbed them there when they refused to hand over cash and valuables. Rene Alviar
