Gunslaying ruins party

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan A verbal tussle in a birthday party in Manaoag town led to the fatal shooting of a Baguio City barangay councilman and the wounding of two women last Thursday, belated police reports said.
Investigation showed the fatality, Florencio Tan, a councilman of Barangay Pacdal in Baguio, had an altercation with suspect Daniel Rillera, after which the latter drew a caliber .45 pistol and shot the former in the chest and shoulder.
During the melee, Rogelia Manipon and Adelina Benito, who were also guests of birthday celebrator Isidro Aquino, were hit by stray bullets.
Witnesses have identified Rillera as the triggerman and his companions as Jessie Molintas and Federico Fontillas Jr. All three were arrested after a police chase. Cesar Ramirez
