DAVAO CITY It was a case of paregla or thrill-killing.
At least 10 members of the so-called "Notoryos gang" waited in a dimly lit corner of Barangay Talomo here before dawn Monday for the very first strangers that would come their way.
Brothers Erwin, 23, and Ermio de los Reyes, 19, did, and they were stabbed dead by the gang members. Their companion, Chester Inso, survived the attack with a stab wound in the armpit.
De los Reyeses and Inso, who were on board a motorcycle, had come from a dance. Apparently for the thrill of it, the gang members attacked them as they got near the San Lorenzo Parish Church. Edith Regalado
