Spurned bar girl seizes lover’s brod

- Teddy Molina -
BANTAY, Ilocos Sur — Spurned by her lover, a hospitality girl kidnapped the man’s 12-year-old brother whom she tried to bring to Cagayan. The boy, however, managed to slip away.

The victim, Christopher Pepito, of Naguilian, La Union, told police investigators that the woman sweet-talked him into joining her. Police withheld her identity.

The boy said the woman, whom he knew, being the girlfriend of his older brother, approached him as he was leaving school in Barangay Imelda in Naguilian town and invited him to a treat.

She brought the boy to San Fernando City and from there, they boarded a mini-bus bound for Cagayan.

SPO3 Federico Cardines of the provincial police said the boy, however, managed to slip away, while she was fast asleep, when the bus dropped off some passengers in Bantay town.

Police learned that the suspect, who is still at large, was spurned by the boy’s brother who broke up with her.

She reportedly originally wanted to snatch her lover’s son who studies in the same school as Christopher, but turned to Christopher after missing her intended victim.

She reportedly told her fellow bar girls in Naguilian that Christopher’s brother would have to follow her to Cagayan to claim him.
