Ex-Freeman scribe, wife die in mishap

CEBU CITY A former Freeman scribe and his wife died in a car mishap in Bogo early Monday morning.
Jesus Bondal, 36, was a writer and later editor of the Freeman Magazine from 1992 to 1993 before he became the press relations supervisor of the Visayan Electric Co. since 1996.
He and his wife, Arlyn Saragoza Bondal, 36, together with their two boys, were on their way home here from his wifes hometown in Daan Bantayan early Monday morning when their Isuzu Adventure collided with a Corominas autobus at the Don Pedro junction in Bogo.
Rescuers said Jesus was already dead when they arrived at the scene. Arlyn died an hour later at the hospital.
