Villanueva urges CA okay for Camacho

Bro. Eduardo Villanueva, the spiritual director of the Jesus Is Lord Church based in Bocaue, Bulacan, has endorsed the confirmation of Finance Secretary Jose Isidro Camacho.

"Critics of the present administration have carelessly thrown disparaging pronouncements on the future of the economy without providing us with the much-needed solutions to the problems presently facing us. It is my humble opinion that part of the solution can be found in the person of Secretary Camacho," said Villanueva in a letter to Sen. Franklin Drilon, chairman of the Commission on Appointments (CA).

Villanueva said Camacho’s expertise in the fields of banking, finance and business "can undoubtedly help propel this country toward its goal of economic prosperity for our Filipino brothers and sisters."

In a meeting, Villanueva personally handed Camacho his letter to the CA endorsing the Cabinet official’s confirmation, together with a devotional book.
