ZAMBOANGA CITY The Gabay Foundation, composed of more than 200 non-government groups, peoples organizations and other affiliated groups nationwide, dismissed yesterday the call of the Philippine Consultative Assembly (PCA) for President Arroyo to resign.
In a statement, the foundation said PCAs call was "baseless and unsubstantiated" and "smacks of political arrogance and hypocrisy."
Virgilio Roxas Sr., Gabays executive director, said the civil society groups which Gabay and other umbrella organizations represent "have strongly offered their consolidated support to President Arroyo."
Roxas said they are urging Mrs. Arroyo to "continue the vision and program of her governance."
