Gabay disowns PCA call

ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Gabay Foundation, composed of more than 200 non-government groups, people’s organizations and other affiliated groups nationwide, dismissed yesterday the call of the Philippine Consultative Assembly (PCA) for President Arroyo to resign.

In a statement, the foundation said PCA’s call was "baseless and unsubstantiated" and "smacks of political arrogance and hypocrisy."

Virgilio Roxas Sr., Gabay’s executive director, said the civil society groups which Gabay and other umbrella orga—nizations represent "have strongly offered their consolidated support to President Arroyo."

Roxas said they are urging Mrs. Arroyo to "continue the vision and program of her governance."
