No more benefits for government workers

Government workers are not likely to get additional economic benefits despite the growing demand for the granting of a P3,000 salary increase for them.

Labor Secretary Patricia Sto. Tomas said the government is restricted from giving in to the clamor of public sector unions (PSUs) for additional financial benefits.

"While the PSUs have continuously focused their negotiating goals on additional economic benefits, the government is always guided by a policy to use its resources where a greater majority can be benefited," she said.
