DepEds Leyte exec under suspension

The Department of Education has placed a Leyte official under a 90-day preventive suspension for alleged "grave misconduct and dishonesty in the use of government funds."
DepEd Undersecretary Ramon Bacani said the suspension of Dr. Rozabel Tajo, Leyte division superintendent, was in accordance with provisions of the Administrative Code.
Tajo was accused of depositing salaries of teachers in her private account, failing to issue receipts for seminars, utilizing government labor and materials in operating a facsimile service, and giving unwarranted benefits to a catering service. Sheila Crisostomo
