3 guards killed in Zambo rob

ZAMBOANGA CITY Armed men shot dead three security guards and stole about P12 million from an armored van transporting cash for the Land Bank of the Philippines in Zamboanga del Sur the other day, the military said.
The robbers waylaid the Landbank van in Barangay Tugaya in Aurora town at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, said Marine Col. Francisco Gudani, deputy chief for operations of the Armed Forces Southern Command.
The identities of the three slain security guards were not immediately available.
The vans driver, Paul Labastilla, and a fourth security guard were wounded in the attack, Gudani said. Roel Pareño
