Cavite police chief sacked

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna The police chief of Cavite was relieved effective yesterday for abandoning his post when he went to the United States without permission from higher authorities.
Superintendent Samuel Pagdilao Jr. was relieved upon orders of Philippine National Police chief Director General Leandro Mendoza, according to Chief Superintendent Domingo Reyes Jr., Southern Tagalog police director.
Mendoza designated Superintendent Rizaldo Tungala Jr. as officer-in-charge of the Cavite police.
Sources said Pagdilao left for the US without his official leave of absence duly approved by Interior and Local Government Secretary Jose Lina. Rene Alviar
