Ong to go to the streets if Lacson won’t resi

-
Former drugs undercover agent Mary Rose Ong said she would go to the street and lead the protest against Sen. Panfilo Lacson if he refuses to heed calls for him to step down.

Ong, Philippine National Police (PNP) anti-Narcotics division chief Superintendent Reynor Gonzales, Dangerous Drugs Board executive officer lawyer Bernardo Lastimoso and Volunteer Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) chair Dante Jimenez were yesterday’s guests at Holiday Inn Round Table press forum with "drug menace" as the topic.

Ong is expected to join the massive protest marches set for the two succeeding Fridays by civic group against "narco-politics." Some members of the civic groups have called on Lacson to resign after Ong accused the legislator of making money out of drugs.

Meanwhile, the PNP is establishing the paper trail on the luxury vehicles of the Chinese druglords which was allegedly "repossessed" by some police officials allegedly involved in the kidnap-for-ransom and murder of the victims.

Four of the vehicles were traced to Senior Superintendent Francisco Villaroman during a raid in Pampanga.

Ong has accused Lacson, police Chief Superintendent Reynaldo Acop, Senior Superintendents John Campos and Villaroman of alleged involvement with the Hong Kong Triad. — Jose Aravilla, Christina Mendez
