P.3-M reward up in Chinese execs kidnap

KIDAPAWAN CITY The North Cotabato government has offered a P300,000 reward in exchange for information that could lead to the rescue of the kidnapped Chinese engineer of a multibillion-peso irrigation project in the province.
Gov. Emmanuel Piñol said bulk of the amount came from local businessmen who want efforts to locate the victim, Zhang Zhung Quiang of the China Import-Export Technologies Inc. (Citech), hastened.
Zhang, abducted last month, is the operations manager of Citech which is constructing major components of the Malitubog-Maridagao irrigation facility in Carmen town.
The North Cotabato police earlier filed kidnapping charges against two sons of Datu Janggo Montawal, mayor of Pagalungan, Maguindanao, for allegedly masterminding the abduction. John Unson
