NBI nabs former governor of Ifugao

The former governor of Ifugao province and a board member of the same province were arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation last July 28 for alleged extortion.
Sources at the Department of Justice said former governor Idelfonso Dulinayan and board member Ivan Baguilat were arrested by the NBI after they allegedly collected P60,000 from a contractor.
According to sources, Dulinayan allegedly collected P30,000 last July 25 from victim Alice Magno, owner of the Carlyz construction firm allegedly in exchange for the signing of vouchers and checks worth P250,000 intended for the construction of a youth center.
On July 27, Dulinayan allegedly ordered Baguilat to collect another P30,000 from Magno.
