Police have arrested one of the armed men who allegedly robbed the Uniwide Sales Southpoint Warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna of P4 million two weeks ago.
Chief Superintendent Domingo Reyes Jr., regional police director for Southern Tagalog, identified the suspect as Arsenio Pujeda, alias "Archie," 30, of Infanta, Quezon.
Pujeda was one of the three armed men caught in the act of stealing a cell phone in San Pedro, Laguna last week.
Pujeda’s cohorts in stealing a cell phone were also arrested. They were identified as Jessie Junlosa, alias "Buddy," 32, also a native of Infanta, Quezon; and Teody Asillo, alias, "Alex," 31, stay-in worker of Rodolfo Garcia’s Farm in San Vicente, Biñan, Laguna.
Reyes said Pujeda was positively identified by Raul Bombahay and Jesus Bartido, both Uniwide Sales employees, during a police line-up at the San Pedro police station the other day.
Pujeda and his cohorts in the Uniwide sales robbery incident were believed remnants of the notorious "Billy Tena" group involved in robbery, hijacking, car theft, and gun-for-hire activities led by the infamous Ruel "Billy" Tena who was slain together with two other companions in a running gun battle with police operatives in remote Barangay Casili, Cabuyao, Laguna on May 3.
