2 killed in MILF attack

ZAMBOANGA CITY  About 30 heavily armed men, believed to be Moro Islamic Liberation Front rebels, killed two villagers, wounded two others and burned houses during an attack in a remote village in Tungawan, Zamboanga del Sur the other day, the military said.
The armed men, reportedly led by one Commander Buasan, swooped down on Sitio Lawis in Barangay Langon at about 10 p.m. and strafed the houses.
The two wounded villagers survived by playing dead while the armed men slit the neck of Edwin Partoza, 44, one of the two killed. - Roel Pareño
