CEBU CITY Despite being endorsed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyos Kampi party, Mayor Alvin Garcia said he is not expecting any financial help for his party Kugi Uswag Sugbo (Kusug).
Jose "Peping" Cojuangco, founding chairman of Arroyos Kabalikat ng Mamamayang Pilipino (Kampi), announced that they are supporting Garcias re-election bid and will provide funds for his party even if Kampi only has meager funds.
However, Garcia said Kampis moral support is enough and Kusug will not depend on any financial assistance.
"We are not depending on financial assistance from the national party, at least we have their support. Campaigning in the city is not that expensive because there are no votes to be bought," he said.
The mayor said voters in the city are intelligent, which makes campaigning less expensive. Freeman News Services
