US judge issues order to PCGG

A US District Court judge has ordered the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) to execute depositions on an alleged $35-million account of the Marcoses so it can decide on the recipients of the deposits, human rights lawyer Robert Swift said yesterday.
Swift said Judge Manuel Real of Hawaii wanted PCGG officer-in-charge Jorge Sarmiento, research director Danilo Daniel and Swiss lawyer Martin Kurer to provide "expedited documents and depositions" on the Marcos account with the Merrill Lynch Foundation. Sheila Crisostomo
