IRIGA CITY Probers ruled out political motive behind the strafing of Nora Aunors apartment-cum-campaign headquarters here last Tuesday afternoon after the name of John Rendez, her alleged live-in partner, cropped up as a possible suspect.
Iriga police chief Edgar Agar said their investigation pointed to a certain Rendez as one of the suspects in the strafing.
Aunor is the gubernatorial bet for Camarines Sur of the People Power Coalition against re-electionist Gov. Luis Villafuerte.
Agar said they have contacted Aunors camp but "they did not cooperate with the police." A "love triangle," according to speculations here, motivated the attack.
