Cavite Gov. Bong Revilla Jr. launched Wednesday night "Cavite Vision 2020," an ambitious plan that will push the province to become a modern Persepolis comparable to the great cities and megacities of the world, like Rome, New York and Paris.
Billions of pesos were expected to be sunk in this super enterprise, perhaps the first of its kind in the country, revealed Revilla, foreseeing that the "gross provincial growth" would increase by leaps and bounds, making the province a shoo-in for investors.
"Peace and order and adequate jobs for all Caviteños are enshrined in this plan which would be my lasting legacy to my kababayan," Revilla said.
Vision Cavite 2020 was launched at the Cavite Civic Center grounds in Imus, Cavite, in the presence of prominent Caviteños, government officials, representatives from the different economic zones, human resources development officers, locators, farmers, fisherfolk, students, professionals, the academe, church leaders, labor groups and officials of cooperatives.
Revilla said ongoing projects in the province have been incorporated in the 20-year plan.
