GMA breaks ground for Cavite hospital

-
TRECE MARTIRES CITY — President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo led local and South Korean officials yesterday in the groundbreaking of a P357-million state-of-the-art obstetrics and pediatrics hospital here.

The Korean-Philippine Friendship Hospital, funded with a grant from the Korean International Cooperation Agency, is expected to be finished in six months.

The 100-bed hospital is expected to complement the existing Andres Bonifacio Memorial Hospital, also located within the 16-hectare provincial capitol complex.

There are about 160 Korean firms located in Cavite.

Meanwhile, American lawmaker Dana Rohrabacher is arriving for a private visit on Feb. 21-23, and is meeting with Mrs. Arroyo. Rene Alviar, Aurea Calica
