Iligan lawyer snatched

MARAWI CITY — Unidentified men snatched a lawyer of Sulpicio Shipping Lines after attending hearings of two court cases here yesterday, police said.

Police said they are still clueless on the possible motive behind the abduction of Victor Aberilla, which came just less than a week after the College of Forestry dean of Mindanao State University, Rodrigo Fontillas, was rescued by a joint military-police team.

Police said Aberilla, who is based in Iligan City, had just attended hearings in behalf of Sulpicio and National Power Corp. when he was kidnapped. — Lino de la Cruz
