SSS flags Pasay employers over P3.19 million unpaid contributions

MANILA, Philippines — The Social Security System (SSS) has ordered five employers in Pasay to settle P3.19 million in unpaid contributions for failing to remit their workers’ monthly social security payments.
The SSS said the employers incurred P1.14 million in unpaid contributions and P2.05 million in fines for violating Republic Act 11199, the Social Security Act.
SSS president and CEO Robert Joseph de Claro said the employers operate in the management consultancy, restaurant, real estate, carwash as well as gambling and betting activities.
De Claro said the Run After Contribution Evaders or RACE campaign seeks to ensure the social security coverage of SSS members.
