5 Chinese illegal workers held

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Five Chinese nationals have been held for working without permits in Trento, Agusan del Sur.

The foreigners were apprehended by a combined team of the police and the military as well as the Bureau of Immigration (BI) following a raid on a business establishment in Barangay Pulang Lupa on Monday.

The raid was based on information that the establishment is employing illegal aliens.

Maj. Gen. Alvin Luzon, chief of the Army’s 10th Infantry Division, said the Chinese were placed under the custody of the BI for proper disposition.
